So it's been a tough first week at home. Hayden is a week old today and has had to go everyday for a bilirubin test. Today should have been the last. I'm exhausted (duh). So I'm not writing much. He is a wonderful baby; we're just still figuring out the whole feeding issue. I say new mothers are the bomb. I didn't know I could run and function on this little sleep. I mean, I knew I could if I had to, but actually being faced with it? Go me (not to be arrogant).

baby boys are the best!!! GO JAMIE!!
I'm sorry that I can't offer advice on the jaundice. We were blessed and Mattie Leigh didn't have it. We also had a lot of issues with feeding the first few weeks...we eventually figured out that Mattie Leigh wasn't getting enough when I breastfed so we started her on formula. It is hard to believe that moms (and dads) can function on so little sleep. Because of Mattie Leigh's nightmares and other sleep issues, we're still up several times a night...it stinks but I wouldn't trade all the sleep in the world for her. I hope y'all get into a better routine soon...the first few weeks can be pretty overwhelming.
Bryan says moms are superhuman- he says not even dads can compete. Enjoy the newborn stage even with its difficulties. They grow fast! Take lots of pictures- I was so sleepy that first week that I didn't take enough. I wish I had them now. =c)
