Teaching Boot Camp

I simply wanted to put up some pictures of my notebook since I did have a friend say she was interested in seeing it! I don't think the pictures do it justice. It's a 2 inch binder crammed full of info and we add to it daily. I also have a teaching portfolio I've created and a resource notebook I've started for the coming year. Next week we present a lesson as if we're actually teaching. There are so many elements we have to include it's making my head spin. Any ideas on how to start a lesson on persuasion with a "hook"? :)

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you to have strength and wisdom as you work through boot camp. How about doing Simeon Says game only play as Captain Hook with the pirate patch and hook. Okay, corny, but hopefully made you smile. I know you are going to survive this path! Love ya, Aunt G

Jamie,

Just keep plugging along and before you know it, "boot camp" will be over and you'll be on the "front lines." Sorry, I don't have a clue how to start a lesson on persuasion, but if I can help you with anything else just let me know.

Thanks for the encouragement all! I think I'm going to use military and political ads to look at persuasion. For example, the Army ad I printed has a female and says You're Strong. Be Army Strong. Then I'll probe how that reaches audiences. I'm still working it out. If I was in my own room already, I know exactly what I'd do but I don't have those resources right now. It's coming along!
